Another great day was enjoyed by all who attended our second annual Robin Cawthray Cricket Match - Craft & Chapter vs Mark & RAM - courtesy of Kelfield Cricket Club, on 7 September.
On advice from the Umpire David Morton, the team captains Frank Potter and Keith Richardson agreed that the slippery conditions meant that we had to play ’walking cricket’ – although the wet weather certainly couldn’t and didn't dampen the spirits! After a really close game with some superb batting from the player of the match, Callum Hanley, the Mark & RAM team emerged as the winners (again!). Then it was back to the Lodge for a delicious family BBQ and Debbie's Big Quiz. A prize raffle raised £315 for Riccall Vikings Under 12s Football Team to help with kit for the new season... a big, big thank you and lots of love from Alison and family, Robin would be so proud.
