Tuesday 9th December 1975 was a Red Letter Day for Brian as the day he was Initiated into Freemasonry at De Brus Lodge 4244, in Redcar. 50 years later he is still a member and on the exact day and date, Tuesday 9th December 2025, 45 members helped him celebrate the occasion, led by W Bro Martin Eggermont, Assistant Provincial Grand Master.

Brethren who attended were entertained through an interesting questions and answers session between Brian and Martin.

Also that evening, W Bro Eggermont, who is Charman of the Provincial Festival 29 presented W Bro Ian Lince with a Certificate confirming Festival 29 Vice Patron Status for De Brus Lodge. A presentation was also given by the Festival Team about the festival.

Finally, W Bro Ian Lince presented a cheque for £2000 on behalf of the Lodge in support of the Festival.
