General Policy
Our policy is to obtain permission before putting details or photographs including any individual on this site. If we have failed to do this, or if anyone appearing here no longer wishes to do so, please inform us and we will remove or obscure the image or text. Articles published on this site are usually provided by the brethren, and are not necessarily the views of Grand Lodge or Provincial Grand Lodge.
Form Submissions: Articles, Events, Enquiries
If you submit any form appearing on this website, the Province may store and use any personal or other data you provide in order to respond to your query, check any information you have provided, configure web services for your specific use and improve the quality of the services it offers.
Articles or events submitted via this website may be published by the Province through all our media channels and outlets and authors and photographers may be specifically acknowledged by us unless they request otherwise. Submitters of articles or events will be assumed (a) to have obtained all relevant permissions from individuals identified by name or photograph, assenting to publication; (b) to hold copyright of all images and text submitted or have express permission from the copyright holder for their submission to us for publication; (c) to have granted the Province a perpetual royalty-free non-exclusive license to use the submission in whole or part for any purpose related to the activities of the Province and for any period the Province deems suitable. The Province also reserves the right to refuse to publish any submission made.
Website logins and Registration Requests
The granting of login credentials by us to applicants means that their name, Lodge or Chapter, Grand Lodge certificate number and email address (i.e. the data supplied on registration) are held by us and their logged in activities on this site are recordable. Any user objecting to this should contact us immediately so that their account may be deleted, which will permanently and completely remove all such information from the live site. This will of course prevent any further login access to the website. Information submitted as part of an unsuccessful application for login credentials is not retained on the site. Please be aware of our policy that if a new account is not accessed within 3 months or an established account is not visited for one year, it is liable to suspension or deletion without notice.
Visitors to this website
We will make no attempt to identify visitors, except where there is a reasonable suspicion that unauthorised access to systems is being attempted. In all cases, we reserve the right to attempt to identify any individual who is reasonably suspected of trying to gain unauthorised access to computer systems or resources operating as part of our web services.

Email Alerts
Members may receive email alerts from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Yorkshire N & E Ridings. We use email as a cost-effective primary communication tool to members to keep them informed of events and announcements of relevance.
Every message contains an "unsubscribe" link which removes the recipient address from future mailings from the Province. Direct mailings from UGLE are not affected. No more than annually, the Province may contact those who have opted out of Provincial mailings to remind them of their choice and confirm their wish to remain unsubscribed.
Should you ever wish to amend your email address, or to re-subscribe, please contact us.
