What a night! Members from at least 4 different Lodges came together with family, friends and the Zetland Ladies’ Club to enjoy a tasting experience of Beer and Spirits, provided by the Three Brothers Brewing Company, and hosted by W.Bro Ben Dorée, the current Master of Acklam Lodge in Middlesbrough.

After a brief introduction about the brewing process, and examining 3 different types of hops, samples of 4 varieties of beers were distributed by W.Bro Ben Dorée and his wife Sally, Bro Colin Slater and Mrs Jean Angus, for all to try.

This was then followed by a sample of either gin, rum or vodka, courtesy of the Ladies of the company, the Two Sisters.

The quiz, after a short meal, provided much hilarity, as everyone learned a little more about beer!

The drawing of the raffle for a variety of prizes concluded the event, which had enabled funds to be raised for local charities.

Well done to those who made the evening possible, an event which was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
