Still flushed with the success of their recent quest to Lennox Chapter 123, E.Companion David Cowley MEZ of Anchor Chapter 1337, once more set out on the 2nd of April 2026 , this time leading 7 Companions to Dagger Lane in Hull where the companions of Humber Chapter 57. With three aims in mind.

Firstly to witness the installation of E. Comp Richard Smedley, (2nd Provincial Grand Principal in charge) as MEZ. Secondly to enjoy the companionship of all present. and thirdly to liberate the travelling sceptre and bring it home to Northallerton.

This was to be a much harder quest, into the largely uncharted territory of Hull, and more specifically Dagger Lane, where strange ritual was rumoured to be practiced! It was to be a hard fought battle. For they had heard that there was a rival chapter equally determined to seize the sceptre, in the form of nearby Technical Chapter.

Undeterred the intrepid travellers battled on, facing the dangers of both the M62, and unknown perils of the A63,. until they reached their destination where they enjoyed a pleasant evening amongst companions, an evening punctuated with much joviality and singing, where eventually, by sheer weight of numbers (8 against 7) they were able to repel the challenge of Technical Chapter, even with their local knowledge, and return victorious to Northallerton proudly bearing their prize.
